Kuwait overturns law criminalising trans identity in historic court ruling

Kuwait’s constitutional court has struck down an anti-trans law under the belief it imposed on the “personal freedom” of trans individuals. The law, more commonly known as Article 198, persecuted trans people for the “imitation of the opposite sex”. However, the court’s new ruling marks a progressive move for the Arab country. Misgendered trans man ‘asked to take pregnancy test’ by hospital

A transgender man is planning to sue a hospital after he was allegedly discriminated against during an inpatient stay there. Trey Lowery’s documents identify him as a man, though he claims staff at Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York repeatedly used “she/her” pronouns when referring to him. Miss CoCo is the 34th known trans person to be killed in the US this year

On August 14, a Black transgender woman, Miss CoCo, was fatally shot at a homeless encampment in Dallas, Texas. Miss Coco, 44, was frequently seen in encampment areas of downtown Dallas as she experienced homelessness. Dallas police reported that the incident occurred at 10:08 p.m. in the 500 block of Park Avenue, between Marilla and Young street on Saturday night. Texas Senate passes anti-transgender sports ban bills

Texas SB 2 and SB 32 would ban the participation of transgender women and girls in sports consistent with their gender identity. Both anti-trans bills are authored by Republican Sen. Charles Perr.
