Lady Gaga reportedly offered role in Little Shop of Horrors reboot

The star is “very interested to keep acting”.

Lady Gaga is in talks to star in the upcoming remake of Little Shop of Horrors.

According to Us Weekly, the American singer-songwriter and actress has been “offered a role” in a new adaptation of the comedy horror rock musical, which originated off-Broadway in 1982 and debuted in the West End the following year.

It was later adapted into a 1986 film directed by Frank Oz, starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin, and Levi Stubbs. Although it didn’t set the box office alight, it has developed a passionate cult following.

Gaga is reportedly “ready to make her return to the big screen” and “very interesting to keep acting” after her acclaimed performance in the remake of A Star Is Born, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.

However, she did receive the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for Shallow with Bradley Cooper. Gaga previously won a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her role as The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel.

The star is currently in the studio working on her long-awaited sixth studio album, her first solo effort since 2016’s Joanne, which spawned singles such as Million Reasons, Perfect Illusion, John Wayne and the title track.
