‘Users face offline consequences’: Meta urged to do more to protect LGBTQ+ people

US Supreme Court upholds ban on LGBTQ+ ‘conversion therapy’ in Washington state

So-called ‘conversion therapy’ for minors remains banned in Washington state after the US Supreme Court declined to hear a challenge. The court made the decision to not hear the case of Tingley v. Uganda passes Anti-Homosexuality Bill making it illegal to identify as LGBTQ+

Uganda has introduced some of the world’s cruellest anti-LGBTQ+ laws, meaning people who identify as gay there could face life in prison. The country’s parliament approved the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023 on 21 March, with its broad wording targeting “aggravated homosexuality”.
