LGBTQ+ people more likely to face homelessness than heterosexual peers, report states

LGBTQ+ people in Britain are more likely to experience homelessness than their heterosexual peers, according to a new report published by the Centre for Homelessness Impact. Younger members of the community are more likely to enter foster or residential care and those with experience of this are at a higher risk of facing homelessness. Mental health challenges were also found to be associated with adverse economic outcomes which can in turn lead to issues with having stable accommodation. British armed forces to allow those living with HIV to enlist in historic move

People living with HIV will be allowed to enlist in Britain’s army if they no longer carry a detectable amount of the virus. In an announcement on World AIDS Day on 1 December, the Ministry of Defence said it also plans to change the fact that those who have the virus in the army are classed as not fully fit.
