Thousands of people took to Downing Street on 10 April to protest the UK government’s decision to exclude trans people from a ban of so-called ‘conversion therapy’. “Trans rights are human rights” and “LGB with the T” were among the many phrases chanted by the crowd, which tripled in size in the space of around 30 minutes. More than 150 religious leaders commit to new safeguarding principles for LGBTQ+ people

Six key safeguarding principles for LGBTQ+ people have been agreed on by more than 150 senior religious leaders, academics and lay leaders from all over the world. More than half of Anglicans in England support same-sex marriage, poll finds

Same-sex marriage is supported by a majority of Anglicans living in England, a YouGov poll has revealed. More than half (55%) believe gay marriage is ‘right’, a number which increases to 72% when looking at those under the age of 50.
