Dolly Parton is giving the gays everything they want.
The music icon and LGBTQ ally has forged a legendary career with timeless country anthems like Jolene and Here You Come Again, but one thing we never expected to hear from her is a club anthem with Galantis and Mr Probz.
“When you don’t know who you are, I will find you so easily, don’t you worry whenever you need me, have a little faith in me,” she sings on the uplifting EDM track Faith. It’s an absolute floor-filler of epic proportions.
The track is a modern reworking of John Hiatt’s 1987 song Have A Little Faith In Me.
Speaking about the collaboration at a press conference at the Grand Ole Opry, Dolly said she wanted to create an uplifting song to help combat negativity.
“This world is just so dark and ugly and awful… so I’m going to make it my business to try to do songs that are more uplifting, not all Christian-based songs, but songs about better things,” she said, according to Billboard.
“Do better, and have a little more love, a little more light and don’t be so dark and dirty.”
