Courtney Act to host this year’s London Queer Fashion Show

“We’re bringing together the phenomenal power of both the fashion and queer communities.”

Courtney Act is set to host the third annual London Queer Fashion Show.

London’s most diverse and inclusive fashion returns this year to the V&A Museum of Childhood to champion gender-fluid fashion and inclusivity. 120 models will sashay, shantay and panther down the runway with the help of 12 LGBTQ designers.

Celebrities such as Tess Holiday, Rain Dove and Saara Aalto will be in attendance, as well as London’s queer figures such as Jamie Windust, Stefan Howste, Kenny Jones, Asttina Mandella, Char Bailey, Helen Scott and Jason Kwan.

Designers include: Gzell, Ellise Lawrence, Plus Equals, Duygu, Insantible Lust, Sophie Cochevelou, Paula Herrera, Vanessa Nicholson, Annam and The Avenue.

The show’s founder, Robyn Exton, said in a statement: “The London Queer Fashion Show is completely unique – we’re bringing together the phenomenal power of both the fashion and queer communities in an explosive experience.

“This is what real representation and inclusivity should look like, not the tokenism we’re seeing far too often. A stage for all those who exist in our community, real identities, real voices and real people.”

The purpose of the London Queer Fashion Show is to put a spotlight on up-and-coming queer talent, and to express all gender identities and sexualities in order for “every individual to be recognised and acknowledged”.

The evening will feature dancers, voguers, hula hoop acts, so trust us when we say you don’t want to miss out. The show takes place 20 September at the Victoria & Albert Museum of Childhood. Doors open at 6.30pm and the show starts at 8.30pm.
